Noodle products like bihon, sotanghon, pasta, and miswa are popular food commodities among Filipino. It is widely accepted to the market because of its cheap costs, palatability, and convenience. And to further innovate this product, the study of Prof. Yakit suggests using fermented shellfish as fortificant which could serve both as a salt replacement and flavor enhancer at the same time. Shellfish is also a good source of protein which is good for the body.

Prof. Leah Yakit herself served as the lead lecturer for this training, assisted by Prof. Mae Ann Balbino for packaging and labeling and Dr. John Keneth Ada for costing. Prof. Reeven Simon made a sumptuous menu for the output presentation.
During the opening program Prof. Ferdinand Anabo, the Dean of CM and Ms. Dema Barros, representative from the MSWDO Pontevedra, gave their message, support and welcomed the participants on this activity.
